Tom Cruise

In 1996, Cruise saved a woman's life after a car accident. After witnessing the hit-and-run event, he rushed to her aid, and waited with her until the ambulance he called for came. After following her to the hospital, he learned that she was uninsured, and promptly paid the $7,000 hospital bill. This was a very heroic performance because of the open display of Cruise's nobility and generosity- two traits every true hero has.

Similarly, Cruise has also saved two boys from being crushed at one of his premieres. When he noticed the two being pinned to a wall by a wild crowd of fans, he called them out and made the crowd settle. Not only was this a very selfless thing to do, but Cruise ensured the safety of those boys by putting their safety in front of his, and risking his chances of injury for them. After this event, their families wrote to Cruise, thanking him earnestly for what he had done.

Tom Cruise has also had a few nautical adventures on the ocean. While vacationing with his wife in 1996, he witnessed a sinking cruise ship far out in the bay. After calling and alerting the authorities, he personally financed a rescue party. After this generous commitment, his selflessness and caring for others shone. In another similar instance, while surfing on the beach, Cruise witnessed a burning sailboat off the shore. After dropping everything and swimming out, he rescued the five terrified sailors from their certain demise.
