When it comes to talk about inventors in the world, who will you think of at first? To me, the first one of the inventors who comes to my mind is Thomas Alva Edison. The reason why is because his most famous invention still has great impact on everyone's life as we turn on the light every day. Without his concentration on his numerous experiments and his spirit in not to give up, we wouldn't enjoy such convenient life to have light.

Although he was one of the prolific inventors in the world, holding more than one thousand U.S. patents, as well as many patents in the U.K., France and Germany, his whole life was not as good as we thought. In his childhood, a serious disease made him almost lose his hearing capability. This may make many people depressed and disappointed, but it didn't stop him from having a better life. Because he couldn't hear things as a normal person, he could more concentrate on doing things. To him, this catastrophe became an assistance that helps him to be successful. As Edison's saying goes "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety nine percent perspiration." My parents named me as Edison for my English name and hoped that I could be as smart as he was and I also hoped that I can overcome every difficulty just like my hero, the magician of light.
