Terry Fox

Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and raised in B.C.; Terry Fox was a person who courageously ran across Canada. Terry Fox ran across Canada to raise money for cancer awareness, after being diagnosed with cancer in his knee. After getting his leg amputated Terry decided to run across Canada with his artificial leg to raise money for cancer awareness.

He did this because he knew the pain and suffering that others were going through. After making it to Thunder Bay Ontario cancer returned, this time to his lungs. He was then forced to stop! Terry Fox is a hero because during his time with cancer he said why not me when others would have said why me. These words are courageous and brave and he shows all seven of the character traits in our definition.
