Ty Pennington

Ty Pennington's birth name is Gary Tygert Burton Pennington. Ty was born on the 19th of October of 1965, in Atlanta, GA. He has spent most of his childhood in Atlanta. He was focusing on history and art, so he attended Kennesaw College. Ty worked in carpentry during the day and at night he attended Atlanta Art Institute. He continued his education after graduating college, he studied painting and sculpture.


Ty and Sears have an exclusive multi-year agreement. Ty is an ambassador for the Sears American Dream Campaign. He is associated with Sears as in a broad range of activities, including product design and development, merchandising and advertising. He wrote one book that was written by him in 2003. His book, Ty's Tricks, was a bestseller said by New York Times. His second book was published in the fall of 2008 called, How Good Design Can Change Your Life.


His carpentry lead him to join the home improvement series on cable called, Trading Spaces, in 2000. He hosted this show for four years. Then after trading spaces he created his own network called Extreme Makeover Home Edition. He has about three awards;
- 2005 Emmy: Outstanding Reality Program - Winner
- 2006 Emmy: Outstanding Reality Program - Winner

- 2007 Emmy: Outstanding Reality Program - Nominee.
This formal model has modeled many clothings for companies, traveled the world, and assisted in TV commercials. In addition, Ty has moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He is playing aviation pioneer Wilbur Wright in an independent film, “The Adventures of Ociee Nash.”


This man is a hero because his show has been dedicated to remodeling people's homes, those who can't afford to remodel their homes. He has traveled across this country to make a better life for those families in need. This man is a really good man of leadership. He is an inspirational person to look up to. His inspiring show still air on ABC.
