My Hero is Quentin Tarantino. I consider him to be hero-worthy because he directs, writes and acts for the greatest movies. All of his directing skills were acquired through watching movies; this is why he is so extraordinary.

Quentin was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1963 to Tony Tarantino, an Italian actor/musician and Connie McHugh, a half Irish and half Cherokee who, shortly after his birth, married musician Curt Zastoupil with whom Quentin would form a strong bond. He dropped out of Narbonne High School at the age of sixteen.
In 1984, Tarantino started working at the Manhattan Beach Video Archives where he formed friendship with fellow worker Roger Avary. Soon after, Quentin and Avary developed the True Romance script. They sold this and started the Natural Born Killers screenplay. After his name started being known in the industry, Lawrence Bender encouraged him to write another script, which led to the great movie Reservoir Dogs.
Then in 1994 he made Pulp Fiction, which is arguably his best film. It won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, Best Original Screenplay, and was a nominee for Best Movie. Next came Jackie Brown, an adaptation of a novel written by Elmore Leonard. In 1998 he took a break from the big screen and focused on Broadway, where he starred Wait Until Dark.
Then in 2003 he released volume one of his two-part film, Kill Bill. He developed the premise for this film alongside Uma Thurman while he was working on Pulp Fiction. Kill Bill Vol. I. and Vol. II were huge box-office successes and boosted Quentin to one of the most popular filmmakers. Quentin achieved all of his fame by just watching movies, which teaches everyone that they can achieve their goal if they really want to.
