Sean Taylor

love-hate ... I love it when he makes plays, hate it when he makes mistakes.

I picked Sean Taylor to be my hero; he was born April 1st, 1983 and died November 27, 2007. Sean Taylor was raised by his father mostly, and a stepmother. He went to the University of Miami, aka “the U”. Sean Taylor was a big factor in Miami winning a national championship. In 2004 he was the 5th overall pick in the NFL draft. The Washington Redskins were excited to have him on the team. Sean Taylor was nicknamed “The Meast”, half man half beast. Overall, I would say Sean Taylor was a loyal guy. He protected his family from being killed. He took a bullet in the artery, and died the next day. If I could be as good as him, I would give anything. Next year I plan on being number 21, as a tribute to him.

He was nice to the people in his community. He helped build a park, and donated money to his elementary school. The reason I pick Sean Taylor is he inspired me to play football. I remember when I could have played anywhere I wanted to on the football field but I chose free safety. I have looked up to him ever since he was in high school. Now that he is dead I would like to take over where he left off. I hope the Washington Redskins become the Super Bowl champions. In the last game of the season they won by 21 points, his number, and almost everyone on the team started to cry. He meant a lot to me and the entire football league. I see him as a hero in my eyes.
