Not, only did she impact my life, but now I want to be like her. My grandma is my role model. I have always admired my grandma because she never gives up. She taught me many things that I thought I would have never accomplished. When she comes and visits she always takes good care of me. I always feel comfortable around her. I know she’s always there when I need her; even though she’s far away from me, she is always in my heart. I can always count on her and talk to her about things I wouldn’t trust to talk with anyone else. I would never doubt to tell her that she is my hero.

I mostly admire her because of the things she accomplished in her life. She accomplished things that I thought she would have never accomplished because she lived a hard life. She was able to work hard to get what she wanted, because her family was poor. Even though she has arthritis she still keeps on going. She cooks, cleans, and she never whines about doing them. My grandma always gives money to poor people, and she also gives them food. She helps others even if she doesn’t know them. Therefore my grandma is my hero.

My grandma, or abuelita as I call her, lives far away from me but she often comes and visits. When she visits me I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. My grandma doesn’t work so she stays home. I don’t say she doesn’t work because she does a lot of things at home, like cooking, washing, and cleaning. I think that’s more tiring than a regular job. My grandma is a great cook. I love her food, I think it is better than my mom's food {but don’t tell my mom]. This is another reason why I love my grandma.

Another reason why my grandma is my hero is because she thinks life is precious and beautiful. It’s funny because when we are eating my aunt says she doesn’t want to eat because she doesn’t want to get fat. So my grandma tells her eat and live as if it were your last day. Abuelita also says not to be so materialist and have too many expensive things because when you die you don’t take anything with you. She also tells me to be happy with life and to treat life well. This is another reason why I admire my grandma.

My grandma is important to me because when she comes, she always takes good care of me. Also because even though she could buy expensive things and good brands she likes to be simple and not show off. She always works hard for what she wants. My grandma is also important to me because she showed me to have good manners. My grandma is the best grandma ever.
