Toccara Jones

What is a hero? To me a hero is a person that always tries to do the right thing no matter what. A hero is a person that no matter how many people tell them they can't do it or it's imposable, they keep on until they succeed. To me a hero is also someone who is a good role model or follower that you can look up to.

I have always dreamed of being a model but because I have never been a size two. I thought the idea was silly and could never happen. This is why Toccara Jones is my hero. Toccara beat the odds when she auditioned for Americas Next Top Model. She was a thick 180 pounds, 5'9, with a personality to die for when she walked into the judging room. Even though Toccara was one of the largest contestants there her amazing curves, soft facial features, and charm got her into the running for Americans Next Top Model.

Toccara was born March 13, 1981 in Dayton, Ohio. She was the eighth person eliminated form American Next Top Model, where she won "Covergirl of the Week" five times and brought happiness to the show. But her career did not end there. She later sang with Wilhelmina Models. She has been on the covers of Be, The Next Level Magazine , Black Men magazine, Black Hair magazine, Braids magazine, and King magazine. Toccara has modeled for Ashley Stewart, New York and Company, Target, Essence magazine, Vibe magazine, and Smooth magazine.

Toccara is not only a pictuer model she is also an wonderful runway model. She has walked in many shows including Hot 97's Third Annual Full Frontal Hip Hop Fashion Show, Luxe & Romance Fall 2005, BET Presents: Rip The Runway 2, and Ellegirl presents Dare To Be You: Wal-Mart Meets America's Next Top Models 2005. Another one of Toccara's many talents is acting she has co-hosted an episode of 106 and Park.

Toccara turned out to be a big success, and because she followed her dream in becoming a Model, I now know that I can do it too!!!
