Tracy McGrady, one of the NBA's most dominant players, was one of the first players to make the transition directly from high school into the pros. His movement paved the way for great ballplayers such as LeBron James(Cleveland Cavaliers), Dwight Howard(Orlando Magic), and many other great young players.

In his senior year at Mt. Zions Christian Academy, Tracy was named a McDonald's All-American, USA Today Player of the Year, and North Carolina Player of the year. After graduating, McGrady thought of attending Florida State, or University of Kentucky, but thought it would be best to enter the 1997 NBA Draft. Tracy was drafted in the first round by the Toronto Raptors at age 18.

In 2000, McGrady attended summer classes at Rollins College. In 2003 he was named a "good guy in sports" among great professional athletes.

In August of 2000, Tracy was traded to the Orlando Magic. In 2001 McGrady attended his first All-Star game as a starter. Tracy also started in the All-Star game in 2003 and 2005.

McGrady now plays for the Houston Rockets averaging 25.4 points per game (7th best in NBA), 1.79 steals per game(6th), 632 feild goals made(4th), and 5.7 assists per game(20th).

Overall I think T-Mac is a great player and shows great leadership on the court, creating a great era of young hoop stars.
