But he didn’t want the initials H.U.G on his belongings, so he changed it to U.S.G; he liked the initials U.S. This is the name of the 18th president of United States and my hero. Ulysses S. Grant was born on April 27, 1822 and died July 23,1885. Ulysses S. Grant is my hero because he was a famous general in the Civil War, fought the bloodiest battle of the Civil War, and became the 18th president of the U.S.
