Gogh found a way to take out all that negativity out of his life and made something beautiful out of it. All that sadness and anger really resulted in him putting more real and passionate feelings into his work; "This is my ambition, which is founded less on anger than on love, founded more on serenity than on passion. It is true that I am often in the greatest misery, but still there is within me a calm, pure harmony and music. In the poorest huts, in the dirtiest corner, I see drawings and pictures. And with irresistible force my mind is drawn towards these"(Gogh). Vincent van Gogh's life was truly a recipe for disaster. He was struggling with numerous mental illnesses. Yet at the same time, he took out the anger and sadness out the equation. And made beautiful artwork out of it. Art was a whole new world for van Ggogh, a world based on more bliss rather than sadness and depression. This said by van Gogh himself portrays how although his life might have felt like a crumbling mess. He still found moments of clarity and those were caused by losing himself in art, letting go of the negativity and trying to create something beautiful. Vincent van Gogh's conditions were hard, but never did it stop him from making something incredible out of it. "Because numerous disorders have been diagnosed posthumously in this artist, various theories have been proposed to explain how van Gogh's physical state may have influenced his work."(Wolf). Vincent Van Gogh's illness and disorders did in fact have an affect on his art, It is the reason why his art was so beautiful. His art was his escape from the negativity. He was able to make such excellent artwork due to his conditions. For Gogh, art was where he could be free, he was able to make something great out of some really tough situations. The art really does speak for itself, it is really inspiring how someone could turn such despicable situations into such exquisite works of art.
Vincent Van Gogh was, is, and will continue to be one of the most inspiring people and artist to ever live. He has continued to inspire hundreds of thousands and millions with not only his artwork, but his passion as well. His ability to live and fight with the situations he was faced with on a daily basis is remarkable. His aptitude to channel his frustration, sadness and anger into something great which is his artwork, is even more inspiring. Vincent van Gogh is my inspirational hero. To me, a hero isn't someone perfect; It's someone who doesn't stop fighting despite their situations, someone who can turn the bad into something great, and someone who goes hard for what they're passionate for and inspires others with it too. That is why I believe Vincent van Gogh is my inspirational hero. After all none of us are perfect, the real heroes are the ones that work with an imperfect situations in hopes of making something great out of them.
