Veronica Roth

Veronica Roth is the author of the Divergent Trilogy, which has sold over 11 million copies in America, and she is an international Bestseller. She won 2012 Best Young-Adult Fantasy & Science-Fiction and Good-Reads Favourite Book of the Year. Her writing theme is dystopian and young adult.

Veronica Roth is my hero. She is a young author, a role model, and an inspiration for me. I admire her because I want to be an author and an illustrator. I also appreciate her because I think her writing is amazing and I am in love with the Divergent series at the moment.

Veronica was born on the 18th of August in 1988 in New York, and was raised in Illinois, Hong Kong, Germany and Chicago. She went to Carleton College, but left to Northwestern University for its creative writing program. And, there, she started her career very early. She wrote her the first book Divergent while she was on winter break. She was only 21. Summit managed to get the movie rights before the book was released to the public and before Veronica graduated University.

Veronica released the second book in her trilogy, Insurgent, on May the 1st 2012 (I am reading this book now). Then on October the 22nd 2013, released the third and final book, Allegiant, finishing the trilogy. Veronica said she wants to take a break from Divergent, after she finishes a series of spin off in Four/Tobias' point of view books in July.

This is why I enjoy Veronica and her writing so much. I recommend her books because they are very interesting and detailed.
