This is what Warren Buffet said when he donated 37 billion dollars to the charity. A hero is someone who I admire and can look up to, and someone who is honest, brave, generous, courageous and thinks about others, not only himself/herself. My hero is Warren Buffet. Not only he is the richest man in the world, but he is the most generous man in the world. He also is a simple man he doesn’t even own a mobile phone or a computer. His contribution to charity is unbelievable. That is what I admire in him and that is why he is my hero.

Warren Edward Buffet was born on August 30th, 1930 in Nebraska. He studied at the University of Nebraska and Columbia University. He is considered one of the most successful investors of all time and has picked up the nickname of the "Oracle of Omaha". Warren showed signs of interest for both money and business at a very young age. Warren started to use methods to gain some money at a young age like buying a pack of Coca Cola from his grandfather’s grocery store and then selling it for a bit more. He also made his first investment in the stock market when he was just 11 years old. But an important period of his life was when he met Benjamin Graham. Warren was very influenced by Benjamin Graham and went to work for him in his company "Graham-Newman". It was here that Warren Buffet developed many of his stock market investing skills that have now become legendary. Another important event in Warren’s life was when he returned to Omaha and began a limited investing fund partnership with a group of friends, family and associates. When Warren Buffet entered The "Buffet Partnerships Ltd", it was the time when get got his fortune.

What Warren Buffet did to the world isn’t something any person could do, giving about 37 billion dollars to the Bill Gates charity is something only Warren Buffet would do. He even planned upon his death that he would give 99% of his fortune to the charity. Warren chose to donate to the Bill Gates charity because Gates is a close friend of Warren and he believes in his foundation. The foundation is now the leading one in the world. Many people appreciate Warren Buffet, and also like him as a person: "A fascinating guy great to meet and he makes it all seem so simple," Anderson said to "American Morning". Another person who interviewed him recently said about him: "He’s so down to earth, he just seems like a very genuine, real person you could have a great time with." It shows not only that he is generous but also a kind man. My hero can teach us in our modern world many things. Nowadays many people who have a lot of money, use it to buy cars, houses, and anything they could buy. But Warren Buffet is different. His money is not made only for him but to all people in need.

I do have similar interests as Warren Buffet, which is helping people around the world and contributing to charity; but no one can donates as much as Warren Buffet. I chose this hero because he started as a normal person like us who studied at a good university and over the years his capabilities made him great in what he’s doing.

Warren Buffet is definitely a hero to me. His donation of 37 billion dollars to the Bill Gates charity and his willingness to give more and more money over the years makes him a hero to many people.
