A hero is brave, a leader, kind, and willing to sacrifice his life to help others. A hero has dreams and tries to accomplish them. A hero is understanding. A hero can be a man, woman, boy, girl, or even an animal!

My hero is Winston Churchill. He was born on November 3, 1874, in Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. He was captured in South America while reporting on the Boer War for the London Morning Post. Later, he was put in charge of the Royal Navy. He made many changes in the navy to prepare for war.

Winston Churchill is a hero because he was a great leader. He replaced Henry Campbell-Bannerman as Prime Minister. He led England throughout the second world war.

Winston Churchill is my hero because he was a leader. He had dreams and he accomplished most of what he wanted to do in life. I think Winston Churchill had an amazing life and was an amazing person!
