Winston Churchill, the prime minister of Great Britain, was a hero because, he was one of the three major Allied figures during the second world war, and he promoted peace between the East and the West. He established the first minimum wage.

Winston Churchill was on the side of the Allies during World War 2. He fought against the Nazis, Japan, and Italy. The Nazis had sent thousands of Jewish people to camps where they were beaten and starved to death. A hero would fight against something as terrible and unfair as this. Winston and his allies knew this was wrong and fighting against something inhuman like this is heroic as he helped save innocent lives. Winston did many great things in his life. This is just one of the many great acts. He was always on the side of peace after the war.

Winston, after a long war, fought once more for peace between the East and the West. Though for the most part unsuccessful, he still put much effort to improve relationships between the U.S.A. and Britain. Heroes would end violence given the chance and Winston Churchill did this. He wanted to help others. This makes him a hero.

A hero goes beyond what is expected of them. They help and inspire others and will not ask for payment. He fits our definition of a hero because he gave speeches to inspire the devastated British people. Winston Churchill inspired others through speeches during a time of uncertainty. This inspiration is heroic as it gave people hope. He rose beyond the call of duty when he did this. After the war, Winston promoted peace between the east and the west. After World War 2 Churchill thought there had been enough killing. Winston worked to improve lives. This is something a hero would do. Winston Churchill raised the minimum wage for workers in England, which helped people feed their families and brought happiness to them. A hero would help those in need and the people earning very little money are the ones who need it. Winston was a great leader and an even better hero. The things he did helped make the world a much better place.
