Walt Disney is one of the most talented and creative artists that you will ever see. From the making of the first full color production to the first theme park based off of his characters, Walt Disney has had many successes. Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, but was raised shortly after he was born on a farm in Marceline, Missouri (Stearns, 1).

Disney’s interest in art started at a very young age. When he was 16 years old, Disney dropped out of high school to join the military, but was rejected due to his age so he became an ambulance driver with the Red Cross after lying about his age(Tyle). Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966 as a result of Cardiac Arrest. He strived for opportunity and took advantage of it when he could. Walt Disney was, and continues to be a hero to many people by demonstrating determination, perseverance, and the ability to take initiative.
