William Hall worked on a wooden ship as his first job. His curiosity of sailing lead him to sail to the most important ports in the world. At the age of 15, he joined the crew of a merchant ship. In April 28, 1821, in Horton Bluff, Nova Scotia, William Hall was born. His parents were very poor. Helping his dad making boats encouraged him to sail at an early age. He also was very poor, he did not get a lot of food. Some days he would have one meal a day. William Hall got his second job filling in for a British crew member.
William Hall displays many character traits such as bravery, determination and courage. He showed an act of bravery when he and his partner protected their base when the odds were against them. He was also presented with the British and Turkish medal for his bravery and determination. William was courageous because when he was working, he offered to fill in for a guy falling overboard. The final character trait that William shows is determination. He shows determination by never giving up while on a mission and he never thought negative.
William Hall influenced me because he has been in World War I and my dream is to be in the military and serve my country.
William Hall was eventually buried with other war heroes from his country. Throughout his life he was always a positive thinker. He fought bravely for his country and was very determined on his missions. William Hall was someone who was a kind heated man.
