William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford–upon–Avon, England. He died in 1616 on his birthday. He wrote 13 comedies, 13 historical plays, 6 tragedies, 4 tragicomedies, 154 sonnets and 3 long poems. His stories and poems teach us many lessons. An example is the play King Lear. It teaches us that we can’t just believe what someone says to us.
He influenced writers of comedies, historical plays, tragedies, sonnets and poems. Many people think he’s written the best poems ever written in the English language. Now, his stories are so famous that almost all the world knows them.
William Shakespeare is my hero because he wrote a lot of happy and sad stories. His stories are amazing and interesting, and the lessons of these stories teach us how to be good to each other and how to solve our problems. For me, his stories give me more ideas when I write. That is why he is my hero.
