My hero is Wesley Autrey, he was a train hero. He saved a man who was having a seizure and fell on the tracks when the train was coming.  He was a 50 year old man that served for the navy. Wesley got a reward of 5,000 dollars. He saved the man on Jan. 2, 2007.

He was waiting for the train to get on it then a man near him fell on the tracks when he was having a seizure. So Wesley dropped onto the tracks and put the man in the middle where they could fit.  The train put the brakes on but it couldn't stop. Wesley risked his life to save the man that fell on the tracks. So the train passed over them. He realized that he could die or survive.

Wesley said he didn't need any doctors to help him that he didn't have anything wrong. The injured man was sent to St. Luke's- Roosevelt hospital center because of the seizure.  Wesley was taking his daughters home after work. Wesley said he's not a hero, he just did what was right .Jerry Sherlock gave a check of 5,000 dollars.  He was in the newspaper, in almost all of the major ones.

Wesley won a lot of stuff like to meet celebrities and to go to concerts. This one thing he did got him a lot of things to make his life better. Wesley is a true hero for the man that he saved.  He's like an angel to the man that got injured. Wesley went to visit the man that got injured in the hospital and the mom said, "GOD BLESS YOU". Wesley is my hero because I am not scared to ride the train any more.
