Walter Jerry Payton

A hero is an unselfish, caring and brave person. A hero can also be selfish, silly, dishonest and popular. A hero is typically a man who is admired or idealized for courage and outstanding achievements. To me a hero is a person who cares about others' safety and sets an example for kids as well as adults. A hero also means a person who has courage and stands up for what they believe in.

My hero is Walter Jerry Payton because he had outstanding achievements. For example, he broke the record for having 275 yards in one game. Also, he was the NFL’s MVP twice. Walter Payton wasn’t cocky and didn’t brag about his accomplishments. He also led the Chicago Bears to one championship. Walter Payton also made the Hall Of Fame before he passed away from liver disease.

Walter Jerry Payton inspired me because since the first time I saw him on TV, I wanted to play just like him. He is the only reason I started playing football in the first place. Walter Payton was known for his kindness on and off the field. He basically inspired me to try and be a good person and live life to the fullest.
