Darrent Williams

Darrent Williams was a great man. He was a hard working man and he always set kids on the right path.

Darrent was born in Fort Worth Texas in September 27, 1982, and on January 1, 2007 he died in Denver, Colorado. Williams was only 24 when he died. He was 5’8 and his weight was 188 pounds. He also grew up in Fort Worth and went to school at O.D Wyatt High School, where he played football. He was voted one of the most valuable players. Then through those years he received offers from Louisiana Tech University, Texas Christian University, and Oklahoma State University.

Darrent was a really helpful person, especially to the Denver Broncos. He played cornerback and was in his second year in the NFL. He was the son of Rosiland Williams and also the son of James Fuller. Williams had a girlfriend named Tierria Leonard, and they had two kids; 7-year-old-son Darius and 4-year-old Daughter Jaelyn.

I think Darrent Williams made a difference not because he was famous, but because he never gave up. He always stuck to whatever he wanted to be, like a football player. He stuck to it and he made it to the NFL. Williams also was a really good role model to his kids, to his kids' friends, and maybe to lots more kids around the world.

Darrent, to me, is a sports hero. He showed kids that anything that you want to be can come true; if you put your heart, soul, and mind to it you can complete anything.

All in all, he is my hero even though he is not with us anymore, he will always be a hero to me.
