The Wright Brothers

The Wright brothers are true heroes. They had an interesting life, accomplished some heroic deeds, and made me think. The Wrights are my heroes.

The Wright Brothers’ lives were full of inventions and hope. Wilbur Wright was born on April 16, 1867. Orville Wright was born on August 19, 1871. Their father gave them a toy helicopter, which inspired them in flying. They built their first airplane after starting by owning a bicycle store. The Wright Brothers spent a lot of time studying flight.

There are many heroic acts that the Wright Brothers accomplished. They were the first people to fly in an airplane, but their first flight only lasted for 12 seconds. The brothers’ longest flight was for 59 seconds. They proved that humans could fly. After proving humans can fly, the Wrights built airplanes for the U.S Military and French Investors.

Learning about the Wright Brothers Inspired me to think. I was interested to learn their father inspired them in flying. I can’t imagine how life would be without airplanes. This probably meant a lot of hope. I can’t believe they tried again and again to make an airplane for a certain amount of time. They never gave up.

Two great heroes in this world are the Wright Brothers. Learning about their lives and heroic deeds has given me much to ponder. They are heroes.
