The Wright Brothers

The Wright brothers were true heroes. They had an inspiring life, accomplished many heroic deeds and have made me think. Orville and Wilbur Wright are my heroes.

The Wright Brothers’ lives were full of new ideas and experiments. The oldest brother, Wilbur, was born on April 16, 1867 in Indiana. Orville was born on August 19, 1871. In their early years, they opened a bicycle shop. They fix and designed bikes. Later, they made gliders and planes. The brothers became famous. Wilbur died at the age of 45 from typhoid fever. Orville passed away when he was 77.

There are many heroic deeds that these brothers have accomplished. They became the first American heroes in the early 1900s when they flew the first plane. It took them hundreds of tries until finally on December 17, 1903 they made the first flight in history. Their plane flew for 12 seconds at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. After that, they made safer and faster planes for the military and the French.

Learning about Orville and Wilbur Wright has inspired me to think. I can’t believe they were the first people to fly. They must have been very smart to do that. These famous brothers changed the history of flight.

Two heroes on this world are the Wright Brothers. Learning about their lives and heroic deeds has given me much to ponder. They are heroes.
