My hero isn't like Superman or the Fantastic Four. My hero is: Yo-Yo-Ma. He's been an inspiration for me since I started playing cello. I believe that he is one of the world's greatest cello musicians. He was born in Paris in 1955 and had his first concert at the age of 5. Since then, he has been very famous in Paris. At age 9 he attended Julliard, one of the world's greatest schools of music. He was given his first award in the year 1978. Since then he has been collecting Grammy's (14) and held a great reputation in various countries. Yo-Yo-Ma amazes me in how he makes the most difficult music seem so easy.

The reason why he is my hero is because his bow control is amazing, his posture is wonderful, the way his fingers fly over the finger board puts me in [heaven]. All these things are all from just practicing? Yo-Yo-Ma practiced a lot; hours and hours. For us kids, many of us hate to practice, it's the last thing we want to do. But that was the one thing that Yo-Yo-Ma enjoyed to do. Basically, he is showing you and I that,if you practice you too can play at the Grammy's. If I was to meet Yo-Yo-Ma then I would give him a big hug to show him how much I appreciate all he's done.
