Steve Young is a great hero. He is a Super Bowl hero and the second greatest quarterback of all time. He is also a hero because he is a caring person. He set up an organization called “Forever Young”. This foundation is organized to fund charities that support families. Steve is very kind and caring.

Steve was born on October 11,1961. His caring mom’s name is Sherry. His dad’s name is Legrande. His dad inspired him to follow his dream to play football and told him that he should never quit. His mom made sure he would get good grades, and if he didn’t his mom would say, “If you don’t get good grades your dream will not come true. He was born in Connecticut and moved to North Carolina when he was seven years old. His mom and dad are one of the biggest reasons that he played football.

Steve had many challenges when he was young. When Steve was young he was not very good at football so he did not get picked for neighborhood football games. Another challenge was that he did not have a strong arm in college and that he was eighth stringer in college. Lastly he did not play a lot in the pros. Steve had many challenges that he over came.

One of the characteristics Steve has is that he helps others. One example, is that he helped a Russian physicist that taught at BYU. He needed help as he had extremely bad teeth. Steve paid for the bill as the physicist could not afford it. He is also kind as he played Santa Claus at a homeless shelter. He is caring because he set up an organization that would give money to orphanages to help kids and their families. These are examples of times when Steve has proven to be kind, caring and helpful to others.

Steve has made many contributions to his city. One was that he set up an organization called “Forever Young” that would fund charities that support families. Steve also spends time with Native Americans. He gives seminars to kids and has helped raise money to send Native American children to college.
