We spend too long thinking about tomorrow when we could be learning from the yesterday we wanted to be today.

I think a hero is someone you can always look up to and someone who makes you want to be a better person. I feel that you should be able to go to this person for help because you trust them and they could possibly give you some advice to help you make it through your problems.

I think it is very important to have a hero. You're hero guides you through everything in my opinion. When you feel like you have no one and nothing to look forward to, you can always got to your hero. It's a good thing to have a hero because your hero makes you feel important because they look after you and you know they'll always be there for you.

My Personal Hero is my 19 year old brother Gage. I choose him to be my hero because he has been through so much and in the end, he's always walking with his head held high. We hold conversations that make me want to be a better person. Gage helps me understand things clearer when he talks to me. He's done what I have and has been through what I have and it's good to have someone I can go to for advice. My brother is different than a lot of people i know. It's good to know that i've been through so much ever since my parents divorce with my brother by my side to help me and guide me to do and handle the right thing. My brother was like mine and my sisters part time dad. Since my dad's a Cop and works days and my mom is also a Cop and works nights, Gage was there to get us off the bus, dinner, showers, and everything. The past 3 years, we've had some rough times and i barely saw the real Gage i know, but when i started to look from his point of view, i understand what he went through. Then, I experienced what he went through and i knew exactly how i was going to handle it. I went straight to him and everything has started to gradually get better. Thanks to my brother, everything i've ever been through, i have overcome it. Gage describes my definition for hero because i look up to him and he also makes me want to be a better person. I can always go to this person for help because i trust him with all of my heart.

If Gage would be in a hall of fame, it would be for Endurance. My brother can handle almost anything you throw at him. He's smart and creative and he would most likely know exactly how to handle the situation. When something happens to him or someone he cares for, he knows what to say, do, and act about the situation. Gage also puts other people first other than himself. He may not be perfect but he's the perfect Hero for me.
