My hero is Andy Warhol. Andrew Warhola was born in Pittsburgh Pen., in 1928. He claimed it was 1930 or even 1931. His parents were working class immigrants from Northwest Slovakia. Andy Warhol had early artistic talent. He later went on to study pictorial design at Pittsburgh’s C.I.T. In 1949, when Andy was 21, he went to NYC and started working for magazines. He became a famous pop artist in the 1950’s.
Warhol once said that dying was the most embarrassing thing one could do. On Feb. 22 1987 Andrew Warhola embarrassed himself. He died at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center following a routine gallbladder operation. He was only 58 years old.
Andy Warhol is my hero because some day I would like to be an artist. Warhol has created famous pieces of art and architecture. One famous piece is his Campbell’s Tomato soup painting and Lavender Marilyn. That is why Andrew Warhola is my hero.
