"I'm really happy for the families that are going to be here, but I can't help but think about the families that aren't," Pitt said. Actor Brad Pitt made a visit to New Orleans to see the first six houses built through his Make It Right foundation. On August 28-30,2005 Hurricane Katrina hit landfall in Louisiana early that morning. The damage of everything like houses and buildings cost 89.6 billion dollars. Katrina was a category 5 hurricane, leading winds to be 175 mph.

Brad Pitt was born on December 18,1963, in Shawnee,Oklahoma. Pitt grew up in Springfield Missouri, the eldest of three children in a devoutly Southern Baptist family. Pitt told his parents he intended to enroll in the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, but instead spent the next several months driving a limousine- chauffeuring strippers from one bachelor party to the next, delivering refrigerators, and trying to break into the L.A. acting scene. He joined an acting class and, shortly after, accompanied a class mate as her scene partner on an audition with an agent.

In 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit in New Orleans. When Katrina came through a bunch of people lost their homes. Some people got in touch with Brad Pitt to see if he could help rebuild their houses. Brad watched the first six houses get rebuilt. "So far, six homes have been built, two more are under construction, and 14 more are to be built starting in early 2009." Pitt has helped out a lot of families since this tragic hurricane.

Brad Pitt went to New Orleans to help build some of the houses back. Pitt worked hard everyday to try to get some work done. He would get up early in the morning and work really late. Brad was very thankful for helping people build their house back. "It doesn't feel like much of a victory when you look at the overall problem here."

Brad is really happy that he helped out. He is now a bunch of people's new hero. Everybody says that they will always be here for him. Brad can pretty much count on anyone to help him out when ever he needs it. He is a major hero to the whole world, especially to the families that lost everything that they had.
