https://wwd.comSwimming full speed into the wall, Dressel hits the wall at 17.63 swimming the fastest 50 freestyle ever recorded. Caeleb Dressel is one of the fastest swimmers on Earth. Dressel has grown up in Florida all his life. He lived there with his parents and his three siblings on a ranch in Florida. He swam with the Sharks from when he started swimming until he went off to college. Dressel swam for the Florida Gators all four years in college and still trains there with Coach Troy. Dressel is doing bigger and better things each day. A hero must pose as hardworking and patient. Hardworking is someone that never gives up when things get tough. Patient is someone who doesn’t let time get in the way and takes their time to reach their goals. Through Caeleb Dressel’s success he had many ups and downs. Behind his frame Dressel has patiences and is hardworking to inspire others and reach his goals.
https://www.eurosport.comCaeleb Dressel has been patient throughout his career. Dressel has had surgery in his shoulders and had to make a decision to take time off, “Dressel had surgery for a deviated septum and planned to take time off” (Axon). Dressel took time off to get surgery. Through this process he didn’t rush to get back in the pool. He took his time to fully recover and took time to get his mind back into swimming. Dressel never got a big head and was always trying new things to better his stroke; “The moment you start getting a big head and get complacent is the moment your downfall is going to be really hard and really fast,'' he said. "I want to stay hungry in this sport. I want to always find new ways to improve, and there's competition out there like never before.” (Scott). Dressel never lets anything get into his head. He knows that there are people out there just as fast as him, and he has to work just as hard. He takes time to find new ways to improve his stroke. He never assumes that he’s the fastest person in the world. Dressel doesn’t rush to get faster, he’s patient with the process.
https://www.fastlane4.comCaeleb Dressel is hardworking to reach his goals. Once Dressel got back into the pool after taking time off; “It took 18 months to get back to where Calanog thought Dressel would be as a freshman, and in his sophomore season he lived up to that potential” (Axon). Those eighteen months it took Dressel to get back into shape he trained hard. He knew what he was capable of and worked hard until he reached his goals. Dressel is not like any professional athlete; "He is a driven guy,'' Gators associate head coach Anthony Nesty said. "He's a humble kid. He has a good group of seniors around him. He's got a good family and friends and coaches who support him and keep him grounded" (Scott). Dressel always wants to succeed. Dressel strives for 100 percent in his body and works for everything to reach his goals. He’s also the type of person you want of your team encouraging others and having a positive attitude. Working hard is essentially to succeed at anything.
https://www.firstcoastnews.comCaeleb Dressel reached his goals and inspired others by being hardworking and patient. Dressel had some ups and downs in his career. From getting surgery and taking time off, he has built himself back up as a swimmer. Dressel was always fast from the first time he started swimming; “youngest swimmer in U.S. history to swim a sub-:50 second 100-meter free”(“Caeleb Dressel”). Dressel is changing history for swimming. He’s showing that anything is possible if you work hard for something. It’s inspirational to see someone be the first to do something because it shows potential of people. Dressel is inspiring to me because it shows how the sport swimming is changing. He inspires me to work to my full ability and to dream big. Also, he shows me what type of person to be inside and outside of the water. Being the fastest short course 50 freestylist in the world has to be the biggest accomplish anyone could ask for. Knowing that no one in the world has gone as fast as him.
