Do you want to learn about the best veteran? This man was known as The American Sniper, his name is Chris Scott Kyle. He was born in 1974 in Odessa, Texas.  I admire my hero because he means a lot to me in different ways.

During the training of becoming a Navy SEAL he had to overcome a lot of obstacles such as breathing in chemicals.  This is done so the SEALS are used to it. Another obstacle in training is being tazed. Kyle wanted to be a sniper and he did. He became a Navy SEAL in 1999 and went into deployment. The unit that he was on was the U.S. Navy SEALS  Sniper element, platoon Charlie. Later, he changed to Cadillac SEAL Team 3.

During the Iraq War he had to overcome a lot of fears. Kyle had to spot people that were suicide bombers with his eagle eye, he did whatever he needed to save the country. Kyle used his eagle eyes from on top of a building.

Kyle came  home after all of his tours to stay with his family until he went on another tour. He went on 4 tours total.  He surprised his family in 2009 when he came home for the final time. In 2013, he went to a shooting range in Rough Creek Ranch-Lodge-Resort in Erath County, Texas. Chris Kyle was killed by Eddie Ray. Eddie Ray was a friend of Kyle and Eddie had PTSD and went to prison.

This is why I picked Chris Scott Kyle as my hero.  The other men and women in our military service are brave, however I think Kyle is the bravest of them all.
