A hero to me isn't someone who can fly, or has superpowers, but is someone who you look up to. A hero is someone who will be there for you through all the good and bad.... Oh man, that sounded really corny; I guess all I'm trying to say is that a hero could be anyone who is important to you. For instance, my hero would have to be my dad, and regardless of how cool it would be to have a super hero, as a dad, he's not. He's just a really sweet guy. He's sweet but crazy, and that's what I like about him.

Don't get me wrong, there are other things that I love about him. Like how he always follows through with things. Sure, it may take him a couple of days, or months, or maybe even years, but he does them. Okay, so I admit he's only human and some things he plans on doing don't happen, but that's okay. Everyone does that every once in awhile. Even me. I waited until the night before to write this paper, but I finished it, so really... you get the point!

Another thing about my dad is he is an artist and, to me, that's cool. Some of you might not understand because you don't like art and think it's boring, but I do like art and that's all that matters. He's a really good artist and he even teaches a couple of classes about it. That's cool for me because I don't need to pay for lessons, he'll tell me all I will ever need to know.

He's my dad and I will always love him, even when he's a rambling old fool. My dad has been there for me since the beginning and I thank the Lord that he's not some jerk that would run off or beat me. That would be heartbreaking. Also, another thing he has done for me is quit smoking. He did that because he wanted to watch me grow up. He said to me that even though he might not be here as long as he could have been, he would see more things now than if he hadn't quit. To him, I'm his hero, so I'm returning the favor.

All I'm trying to do is to show you how having a hero is a good thing. And like before, it doesn't matter who it is, as long as they mean something to you, that's all that matters. Hey, you never know, maybe you're a hero to someone, too. Wouldn't that be cool?
