Derek Jeter

The New York Yankees are a very good baseball team and a big part of this is because they have Derek Jeter. Derek Jeter is a professional baseball player for the New York Yankees and has been ever since 1995 (16 seasons). He has been to 11 all-star games in his 16 seasons! He is the captain of the New York Yankees, and he hasn’t played for anyone else, and he has lead them to five World Series Championships.

The reason he is my hero is because I have been a big sports guy ever since I was a toddler. He has been a great role model because he is a shortstop, a great hitter, and a playmaker and those are all things I want to have when I play baseball. Also, I LOVE the New York Yankees and Derek Jeter because I was born in New York. Another quality that is awesome and what I dream about is whenever the Yankees need a clutch hit or play, he delivers.
