Dolly Parton
Since I was in school Dolly has been my idol.
Some call her cheap but I think she’s rich with talent.
Her music brings me comfort like a loving home should.
I’ve never met Dolly but I feel like I know her.
Her lyrics are blaring sirens in my head.
Guiding me along the twisting pavements of life.
She’s an inspiration to blue collars and white collars.
As they struggle through their 9 to 5 shifts.
