She has six brothers and sisters. When she was young, her mother got sick. She had to spend a year or two in Alabama along with her brothers and sisters. They lived with their grandparents. She was also part of the church chorus and was very proud of how she sang. At one point, they were really poor, so they got an apartment in a place called a "ghetto.”

Diana’s best friends were Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard. Diana loved sports like swimming, running, singing and dancing. She loved music and she even loved getting into fights with boys! Diana was a fashion designer and she was a great one. Did you know that?
