Emily Pauline Johnson, also known by her Mohawk stage name Tekahionwake, was a Canadian poet, author, and performer who was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Emily is a Canadian poet, author, and performer. She is an important figure in the history of Canadian for she has made outstanding contributions toward the indigenous and the Canadian oral and written culture. She has many supporters and was celebrated widely since the end of 1920.
Emily is my inspiration and what I aspire to be. She not only made a great impact, she is also talented, brave, and intelligent.
