Eddie Murphy

I think that a hero is a person who should have accomplished at least one major thing in his or her life. Eddie Murphy accomplished becoming an actor, director, producer, comedian, and musician. A hero should have done something for another person that makes the person feel good, happy, or at least something that makes the person feel better. A hero should also make a difference or positive change in someone's life. Eddie Murphy is my hero.

Now, for a little background on Eddie Murphy. Eddie had a terrible childhood, having to deal with all of the drug deals and stuff where he lived. He grew up in the projects of Brooklyn. Even though he didn’t grow up with a dad or a happy childhood, he still stayed away from drugs and alcohol. Eddie believes that drugs, smoking, and alcohol kill people and he thought that nobody should die through the use of drugs and alcohol. Eddie was born on April 3, 1961. He was raised in Long Island. Eddie's father had passed away when he was 8. His mother remarried and she and Eddie’s new stepfather took care of Eddie and his stepbrother, Vermon Lynch Jr.

At the age of 15, he began working on his career. He started out as a comedic prodigy and worked his way through life being an actor, director, writer, musician, comedian, and a producer. A few of the movies that he has acted in are Daddy Daycare, Dr. Dolittle, Nutty Professor, Bevley Hills Cop (1, 2, and 3), Shrek, and Haunted Mansion. He has directed a movie, Harlem Nights. He also wrote Harlem Nights. Eddie is also known as a stand-up comedian, on Saturday Night Live (1980-84). He produced the movie Harlem Nights, also.

Presently, Eddie is 45 years of age. He has an ex-wife; he and his ex-wife have only one child. Their only child is a boy named Christian. His new wife, Nichole Mitchell, has been married to him for 12 years and they have children; he just had his newest little girl, Bella Zahra. The couple suffered marital difficulties in 2005 and planned to divorce.

Eddie Murphy is my hero because he has a very exciting and interesting life. He always premieres in movies that inspire me, and one of his movies made a positive change in my life, as well as my brother's. Heroes to me have to accomplish a few things in their lives, and Eddie Murphy has very much done that in his life.
