When Eleanor’s husband Franklin Delano Roosevelt got the job of governor, she was right beside him. When Mrs. Roosevelt found out that her husband was being flirty with the social secretary, she stayed calm. When she spoke about it with Mr.Roosevelt, she stayed relaxed. As you can see Eleanor was very calm about things. She was also the serious type. Mrs.Roosevelt didn’t laugh that much, only when she had to. Eleanor always made sure her house was in tip-top shape.

When Mr.Roosevelt got the job of being president, Eleanor wrote speeches and shared them with many people. Since Eleanor helped out with many fundraisers, organizations and protests, she had a lot of ideas for speeches. Also, Eleanor wrote books about her life and what she went through. Some of her novels were bestsellers. When Eleanor retired from the U.N., she traveled the world talking to many important people, saying "world peace depends on international friendship."

Eleanor Roosevelt has been an inspiration to many, many woman and men. People still remember of her great acts. When Mrs.Roosevelt died, it was said about her: "She would rather light a candle than curse the darkness and her glow has warmed the world."
