Fernando Rodriguez and my grandmother Original personal photo When Fernando was born the had very little to grow up with. As a kid he would look up to his father. He saw how hard his father worked to feed, care for, and put a roof over Fernando and his siblings heads and realized how hard it was for him, so it changed his life. It made him want to do the same for his own children.

As Fernando grew up, he had his struggles. One of them was a behavioral problem; he solved this problem by working hard to not have the last word. At home he began to work towards his goal which lead to his accomplishment. As he began to grow older, he had his own children. Having his own children, he grew inspired by them. His children inspired him by always working hard. By working hard, they didn't expect anything in return, but it made him happy to reward them for their hard work. This inspired him to work hard to be able to give them what they wanted and needed. He wanted to be able to make them smile.

Making his children happy grew a problem; he decided to fix the problem by getting a second job. When his wife grew worried about his health, she began to work so he could be healthy. When she did this for him, it inspired him to care for others and be unselfish. Since Fernando is now an adult, he believes that he does not deserve the title of a hero because a real hero is someone that puts another person's feelings and life before their own and behaves unselfishly.

This man is my father, I chose to write about him because I felt that he is exactly what he describes as a hero. Not only does he love and provide for his loving family, but he also inspires me to believe in what I work hard in, and work hard in what I believe. My father shows me how to be a good person and be grateful that I have a family like the one I have now. My father shows me how to be a good person and be thankful for what I have.
