For My Dad

Whether you had a loving and supportive parent or a parent that wasn’t present in your life, physically or emotionally, the effects that a parent will have on their child is an immense factor to their maturity and future as a whole. I was lucky enough to have my father as one of my parents. Like the vibrant colors in my drawing, my dad brings light into my world. From everything to how he nurtured my creative and academic ventures from a young age to how he brings stability and comfort into my life through his hard work, my dad is a strong individual that works to ensure a bright future for me and my brother. My dad does everything for me, from trying to shield me from the world’s cruelties, to making me laugh when I’m sad, to showing me a good amount of tough love to prepare me for adult life on my own. My dad shows his efforts in all he does, whether it be when he works in the hospital or when he cares for our family at home. My dad is the most kind and caring person I know, and he is my hero.
