Micheal J. Fox was born in 1961 in Edmonton,Alberta. He was born of the name "Micheal Andrew Fox" The "J" was was used as a homage to lengendary actor. His parents are Phyllis and William ("Bill") Fox. He has three sisters and one brother. Also he never wanted to be an actor at first, but a professional hockey player.

I chose Michael J. Fox because he was a great fighter he was brave enough to stand up to the disease- Parkinsons for over 10 years. I also believe he is a great person for his determination in the fight against of parkinsons.

Michael J. Fox is a great hero for all his sacrifices he made like his career and his title of actor. That takes a lot of gutts to give up something like that to do something for medical research and for a cure of parkinsons disease.

The thing that makes Micheal J. Fox a really great hero is the fact that he never went to medical school. He is doing this not just for him but for everyone suffering from this disease, he believes everyone should have a chance to live somewhat of a good life with parkinsons.

In conclusion I want to say, that to me Michael J. Fox is a real hero and to many others as well, he might be just an actor with a dream, but I believe Michael is a great person and that's why I chose him as my hero because he has a heart full of gold and he is obviously very brave.
