FROM OUR EDITORS
This book, chronicling the first major Gehry retrospective in 15 years, highlights the imaginative, often shocking designs that have made the Pritzker Prize-winning Gehry into an icon of contemporary architecture. Of course Gehry's most famous work -- the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain -- is covered, but this massive book showcases the entire spectrum of Gehry's designs. In addition to breathtaking photographs of the building projects, reproductions of Gehry's wonderful sketches are included, giving the reader a hint of the wild imagination that lurks behind the precision of the blueprints and scale models.
