Why I think of Frederick Douglass as a hero is because he stood his ground against slave owners with his fellow team which was slaves and screamed for freedom. Also Frederick Douglass was a slave himself. It took him 20 years just to get out of slavery but he still wasn't safe so he had to disguise himself as a sailor which was where he had got his knowledge from.

Interesting fact 1. Did you know that Frederick Douglass died from a severe heart attack which was on February 20,1895 when he was 77 years old.
Interesting fact 2. Frederick's famous speech was "I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong".
