Galileo Galilei
Galileo Galilei was a genius mathematician but he was very misunderstood. When he was teaching at a school, the other teachers didn’t like his ways so he got fired.
Galileo has been called the “Father of observational astronomy”. Without doing what he did, we humans would still believe that everything revolved around the earth.
Galileo was born on February 15, 1564 in Pisa, Italy. As a child, was always focused on learning, was very experimental, and loved to challenge theory. Galileo's favorite book to read as a child was science books by Aristotle.
Galileo studied medicine at the University of Pisa for 4 years but dropped out without a degree and later returned to Florence and tutored mathematics.
Galileo was put under house arrest for trying to suggest that the Earth and planets revolve around the Sun at the center of the universe.
During Galileo’s house arrest, he was just looking through his telescope when Galileo saw a long rocky belt that seemed wrapped around everything called the Milky Way, later on, Galileo gave so much more understanding of this belt the Milky Way.
Galileo made such an impact on us by showing us to never give up and prove them wrong.
