George W. Bush

by Sarah from New York

George W. Bush is a great person to have as a hero. He is a hero because he is a wonderful president. He made an attempt to change the education system, so all kids could be intelligent. That way, when they grow up, they can provide a better future for other children and the citizens of the United States of America. Our country has never seen a president who is that sincere about the education of kids. That is why he is a great hero.

When George W. Bush was a child, he had a lot of different experiences. One thing is he was the eldest child in the family. His family grew to include three brothers and two sisters. One of his sisters, Robin, died at the age of seven from a horrible blood disease. The Bush family moved many times while the children were growing up. They spent about three years in between each place. George W. Bush decided to join the military and chose to enlist in the Texas Air National Guard. After he left the National Guard, he moved to Arizona by himself to get his first job on his friend’s ranch. Finally, he moved back to Texas again. This explains George’s childhood and young adult life.

Here are a couple of challenges and obstacles in George’s life. The thing that really hurt George the most is that his sister, Robin, died at seven years old from a bad blood disease. When George was younger, his mom and dad decided to move the family to Waldorf Astoria, New York. George was really disappointed because he had to move away from his school, friends and some of his family members. As a teenager, George worked for The Circle Drilling Company and he did oil drilling. One day George decided to quit his job and this made his dad very upset. He was upset because George had made a deal with him that he would work there for a certain amount of time. Another mistake George made while growing up was that he tried drinking alcohol. He got into his car and was stopped by the police. He was punished severely by both the police and his parents. George made a very poor choice by drinking and trying to drive. These are just a few of the challenges George had in his life.

There are a lot of ways to describe George W. Bush. Here are some of them. The first is that he is very sincere in what he is doing as President of the United States of America. He wants the best life for United States citizens and democracy for other countries. The next character trait George shows is that he is very involved in how he treats the country and fights wars. Finally, he is respectful to others. He is respectful to people from other countries who want to become United States citizens. These are some of George W. Bush’s positive character traits.

George W. Bush has made a lot of contributions to our country. One of them is that George worked to bring faith-based organizations out to help people with their problems. President Bush’s hope is that faith-based organizations could help better than the government. Second, he improved education so no kid was left behind in school. Kids appreciate that he wants American kids to be better and smarter students. Next, he floated the idea of tax cuts. Tax cuts might help our economy by letting people keep more of their money to spend. Finally, he worked in the military to serve our country. George W. Bush has made a lot of wonderful contributions.
