Be introduced to how teachers use MY HERO resources, how students can become reporters and filmmakers, and curate a playlist of MY HERO multimedia resources to enrich students' learning.

Curate MY HERO Multimedia Resources to Enrich Learning for Students of All Ages
Learn how teachers around the world integrate MY HERO's rich multimedia library of stories, art, and films highlighting positive role models making a difference around the world, and create your own playlist of media connected to your curriculum to share with and inspire students.During this workshop, after being introduced to the MY HERO Teachers Room and the multimedia resources available, participants will register for their free MY HERO educator account, allowing them to curate their own webpage playlists of MY HERO content during this session. During most of the workshop time, participants will be guided on how to search for resources and create an organizer playlist of content to use with their students of any age. As participants create their own playlist of content, assistance will be provided as they explore MY HERO's multimedia library and lesson resources that integrate with the curriculum of the classes they teach and/or resources they can use for after-school programs. Teachers of similar subjects or age groups will be encouraged to work together and share resources they find with each other. Participants will leave this workshop with a webpage playlist resources to use with their students.

Building Global Communities through Digital Storytelling
This session will share best practices in organizing and executing a My Hero-themed video project, complete with ready-to-use lesson plans, project planning hand-outs, access to a year-round calendar of active challenges on a range of topics to inspire My Hero projects from classrooms and storytellers across the world. All attending will get free My Hero Project educator membership and access to a Teacher's Room to learn more and get started and a rich Multimedia Library of stories, art, films, and audio! Finally, My Hero Project International Film Festival is an annual celebration and recognition of the works created by My Hero Project's community of storytellers. Teachers use MY HERO in the classroom and for distance learning to promote values, creativity, self-expression, cross-cultural understanding, and an appreciation of diversity with students of all ages and grade levels. Through our website, digital storytelling tools, teacher training, salons, contests, film festivals, and workshops, we help students gain an understanding of their ability to follow in the footsteps of heroes.

MY HERO Stories, Short Films and Art Celebrating Heroes Around the Globe
Learn how teachers around the world integrate MY HERO's rich multimedia library of hero stories, art, and films highlighting positive role models making a difference around the world while allowing students to create their own inspiring media telling the story of heroes within their own community and the world to share with MY HERO's global audience. All MY HERO resources and digital storytelling tools are free and compatible with cell phones, tablets, and computers. The My Hero Project enables students from all regions of the world to reach their creative potential by sharing their stories, hopes, and ideas while receiving recognition for their work by publishing their projects on the MY HERO website. MY HERO sponsors several contests for students throughout the year, giving students an opportunity to be recognized by our global community.

Learn how teachers around the world use MY HERO to promote values, creativity, self-expression, cross-cultural understanding, and an appreciation of diversity. MY HERO is a global educational website with teachers all over the world using free multimedia resources and digital storytelling tools to enrich student learning.
