Maude Abbott

I have chosen Maude Abbott because she has done many heroic things. She lost both her parents when she was a kid. Then her grandma adopted her and her sister Alice. Maude was inspired by a doctor become a doctor.

Maude was born on March 18th 1868 in St. Andrews East Quebec. Maude was home schooled and then she went to medical school.

Maude Abbott is famous for many important things that she has done over the years. One of those things is doing an important brain surgery for her sister when her sister got a brain disease. Next she was the first woman in medical school. Finally she was the first female doctor in Canada.

I hope you like my story about Maude Abbott. As you can see Maude was one of the earliest women doctors and my hero.
