Michael's full name is Michael Joseph Jackson. He was born August 29,1958. Michael's home town is Gary, Indiana. He had many animals at his house. He was the seventh child out of nine children. He started singing at the age of five years old. Michael was the lead singer.

Michael Jackson sang with his four brothers Tito, Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon Jackson. All together they were the Jackson 5. It was going to be Jackson 4, until they heard five year old Michael sing at school. Jackson 5 formed in 1964.

Michael founded the Heal The World Foundation. He helped lives of children around the world in 1992. He wrote many songs to raise money for the foundation. In 1993 he wrote Heal The World, in 1985 he, along with other famous singers, wrote We Are The World. Jackson also wrote Earth Song in 1995. He also wrote many other songs for the foundation.

Michael Jackson wanted kids to enjoy their lives. At Neverland, he had a train to go to the amusement park, movie theater, and complete zoo. He was inspired by kids to write his music! Michael Jackson wasn't only known for entertaining and the famous moonwalk. He was also known for being a hero for kids!
