Success, failure, tears, happiness, and experiments.
Nikola Tesla, my hero, was born in Yugoslavia in 1856, and was an electrical inventor. Tesla was famous at the turn of the century for inventing an alternating system that is still in use today in our household washing machines. But his later inventions were documented in some 30 U.S. patents between 1890 and 1921, though they have never been applied as he had wanted for our civilization.
Nikola Tesla lived in Yugoslavia, then studied in Prague and worked as a telephone engineer in Prague and Paris. Nikola thought he could find a better future in the United States of America, so he worked with Thomas Alba Edison as his assistant, but after some time passed Tesla got bored with Edison and quit. His goal was to surpass Edison, and was even considered by many to have been better than Edison.
Nikola Tesla accomplished many remarkable things for the scientific community, although his projects were darkened by the U.S. government. He invented a poly-phase motor used by industries as an engine, and dynamos, and transformers for a complete alternating system used in washing machines. George Westinghouse bought his patents and used them to create very good washing machines, all thanks to Nikola Tesla. His best invention was the “free energy receiver” which could be used to receive free energy in our homes.
After reading Nikola Tesla’s biography by accident, I became a lot more dedicated in school because I wanted to be like him; not a genius but to be the best in what I do, just like he was. Also he persevered until he was famous, but at that time most people judged him as crazy. But after time passed, he became more well-known within the scientific community.
Nikola Tesla was a man with futuristic ideas, and so he was misunderstood by the society of his time - except for his friends and family - even though he continued on and achieved his goals. Now he is appreciated by all people that know about him. Like a true hero, he persevered, and he had all the values that a real hero must have.

Tesla makes me give my 101% in everything I do because he inspired me in a positive way. He made me realize that if I do fail, I can do it better next time, and to never give up and to fight for what I want in life. I will never give up and I will be optimistic in everything I do.
Nikola Tesla is my hero, the best one for me, because through his example, he has given me a reason to be a better person.
