Douglas Orr Rolland

My uncle lives in Scotland. He is a fisherman. His fishing boat is called Zolee. He got married to a lady called Kirsty Anderson in 2005. His wedding was at a hotel which only people who were having a wedding could stay in.

I think my uncle is a hero because he has saved many liives. Once when he was fishing, his boat started to be pulled even though no one had turned the engine on. He and his crew thought that they might have caught a huge big fish. Whatever it was, it was heading for an island. It turned out to be a submarine. The submarine exploded when it hit the island. My uncle Douglas was brave enough to jump into the sea to save all the men who had survived the explosion. He had to swim down to the submarine, then up to the surface again and again and again, until he had all the men on his boat. All together he saved 99 men out of 110.
