My definition of a hero is someone who has done something or has set a record. Wayne Gretzky set a record for scoring the most goals in the NHL. He scored 894 goals in about 1000 games. Wayne was the player of the year 7 years running. I think that Wayne Gretzky fits my definition of a hero.

Wayne Gretzky had the most goals int he NHL. He has so many goals that he has a record for the most points in the NHL. He also played with he New York Rangers and scored 57 goals in 234 games. Wayne Gretzky was a player with many talents.

Wayne Gretzky was a player with great talents. Wayne Gretzky would weave through people and would pass the puck with such force that none could pick it off. Wayne Gretzky was a player that just would make plays up as he was on the ice. He practiced about 3 hours a day on his slapshot, wrist shot, and even his snapshot.

He was chosen because he was a player with good sportsmanship. He was also chosen because of the way he played. His famous quote was “A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.”
